We are looking for a Business Development/Capture Management Associate to join our team immediately.

If you have the necessary skills and experience required and are also entrepreneurial, energetic, personable, and able to work independently with a strong desire to succeed – you should look at this opportunity! Do you have solid business development/capture experience working within small-sized government contractor businesses involving small-sized accounts, and selling Information Technology, Professional, Program and Technical Support type services specifically to the DoD, DHS, and VA?

The locations where you will work include: Office in Warrenton VA., mainly telecommuting.

The general nature of the work you will be involved with regularly includes: The identification, qualification, tracking, and capture of targeted business opportunities to achieve growth within targeted markets and aligned with our business strategy. You will regularly meet with prospective/current clients and teaming partners; you will also develop and execute call/visit plans to present corporate capabilities and gather business intelligence. You will collaborate on proposal development efforts, and act as a key resource to write, edit, modify and participate in full production of proposals that you've captured You will maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities, develop and update shareable client relationship management information, and report on the activity within your sales pipeline.

Your work related experience should include: 3-5 years' experience selling within the federal market place, primarily focused on DoD and DHS. Your experience must demonstrate: a solid track record of selling and closing deals (proven win rate on developed and captured efforts is very important); ability to drive sales and develop relationships with key stakeholders; ability to influence decision-makers within client organizations; ability to execute strategic and tactical sales plans using proven best practices in government contracting. High level of proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); and intermediate user level proficiency with online research and network tools like GovWin, LinkedIn, etc.

Organizing the management of qualified leads; setting-up and participating in productive sales meetings; transitioning qualified leads within the sales cycle to potential bid opportunities. The application of best practices when responding to USG requests for information; proposal writing and proposal management principles.

We want your formal education to include: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, and logistics, or technical domain, other types of degrees will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

We would like you to be certified / trained in business development and capture management processes.

Other things you should know about this opportunity include: Naturally, you will be required to travel throughout the year to support your sales efforts. We will also expect you to help us, as required, to develop and continue to grow our business in areas in which you may have special expertise or unique skills.
